Purchasing and Download

I’ve found the perfect image. How do I purchase it?

You can either purchase an Image Sheet (usually contains one or more related image's), or a Collection (compilation of Image Sheets). To purchase, click on either the Buy This Image Sheet or the Buy Entire Collection button to drop into the Shopping Cart. At this point you may continue shopping or proceed to Check Out. Within minutes of making a purchase you will receive an email with a link to access the download of files purchased.

How do I retrieve my download?

Registered users: Within minutes of making a purchase you will receive an email with a link to download your images. Or you may access your purchased images through My Collections. As a registered user, you'll have unlimited access to all of the images you've purchased.

Guest users: If you do not choose to register, you may download your purchased images directly via the email confirmation sent after making a purchase. However, the download link will expire after 48-hours. The best way to take full advantage of the site is as a registered user.

Where does my download go?

When you click on your image download link, you will then asked to select the folder where you want to save your files. Pay attention to which folder you select before clicking the "Save" button. It may help you to create a folder like "C:\DoverPictura" for all of your downloads, but you can use any folder you'd like.

Some computers automatically direct all files to a “Downloads” folder in My Documents or on your Desktop. Check your computer settings for more information.

I've purchased a collection but want to access it on more than one device. Can I download it more than once?

Registered users have unlimited access to all purchased images. You can easily access your download history through My Collections and download your files as often as you’d like.

Guest users must download images within 48 hours of purchase and will not be able to access them after the link has expired.

Are the images I purchase watermarked?

Watermarks appear only for preview for our site. Downloads will not contain watermarks.

How can I access my download history?

When you become a registered user the Image Sheets and Collections you buy are yours to download as often as you wish- anytime, anywhere, and from any device. To access them, visit My Collections. Your downloads will be organized in alphabetical order for easy browsing.

How can I print receipt?

Receipts for purchases may be accessed on the Purchases section under My Account

Which methods of payment do you accept?

We accept payment by PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

I don't want to purchase online, what are my options?

Many of the images you see on DoverPictura are also available as CD-ROM and book sets by Dover Publications. Browse our complete line of clip art books.

Can I buy just one image that I want?

You will have a choice to purchase an Image Sheet (usually contains one or more related image's), or an Entire Collection (compilation of Image Sheets).

Can I buy a higher resolution versions of the images in a collection?

Entire Collections contain multiple formats of each image. The range of formats varies and not all formats are available on each Entire Collection. A list of available formats is described next to each item. When you purchase an Entire Collection, you will have access to all the formats currently available for all the images within the Entire Collection. When you purchased individual Images Sheets from within an Entire Collection you will have access to .jpeg and PDF format of bitmap images and .eps and.svg formats of vector images.

Can I download a comp of an image before I purchase it?

At this time we do not offer comp downloads of any of the images available for purchase.

Do you charge sales tax?

No. We do not charge sales tax.

How do I remove items from my Shopping Cart?

To remove items from the Shopping Cart, simply click on “Remove This Item”.

How do I extract files from the downloaded .zip?

Most operating systems will include an archive utility program so all you need to do is double-click on a .zip file to extract contents. Also, free downloads of archive utility programs are typically available online.

How do I redeem my promotion code?

You may apply the redemption code you received when you registered towards the purchase of three single Image Sheets. Simply enter the redemption code on the Redeem Code section on the Order Summary Page at Check Out. Make sure to click Redeem My Code button to update pricing before proceeding to the final payment screen.

Which browsers does the site work with?

Our site works with most major browsers current and previous versions, except AOL and its plugins.

Is the site viewable in other languages?

At this time our site is only available in English.

Return Policy

What is your return policy?

All sales or licenses of our images are final and subject to the Terms of Use. Returns will not be accepted. However, if we make a mistake, we will try to correct it because we value your relationship. Please contact us at service@doverpictura.com if you experience issues in downloading or unzipping files or if a file is defective or corrupt.

How do I close my account?

How do I retrieve my password or member user name?

The username is your email. If you cannot remember your username, simply click on the Forgot Username link on the page. You will be re-directed to send an email message to service@doverpictura.com. Please be sure include first, last name and contact information. We’ll respond within one business day.

If you cannot remember your password, simply click on the Forgot Password link on the page. Enter your email address and click Restore. We will retrieve your password and send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

How do I edit contact info?

To edit contact information, go to My Account . Click on the edit link next to Name under Profile. Update first and/or last name information. Click on Change to apply changes.

How do I change my password?

You can easily change your password at any time by going to My Account . Click on the Change Password link under Profile. Enter your current password then choose a new password. You will need to re-enter your password under Confirm for security reasons. We recommend you use a secure password that is easy for you to remember. Make sure to click Change Password button for the change to take effect.

How do I change my email address?

Your email address is your username. Please contact customer service to change your username. service@doverpictura.com

Search Tips

How do I search for images on DoverPictura.com?

You may search for images by keyword, category, author, ISBN of a Dover Electronic Clip Art Book or title of a Dover Electronic Clip Art Book, You may look up images from any page on the site by typing any of these terms into the Search box above and click the submit button. We’ve organized our images so that you can browse through category areas to find an image that interests you. Follow this link for our Categories and advance search options.

Search by collection's ISBN and/or page number?

You may search Collection’s ISBN number from any page on the site by typing the ISBN number into the Search box above and click the submit button.

Search by subject?

You may search by subject from any page on the site by clicking on Categories button above. We’ve organized our images so that you can browse through category areas to find an image that interests you. Plus you will also be able to access advance search options.

Search by keyword?

You may search by keyword from any page on the site by typing the keyword into the Search box above and click the submit button.

Search by author?

You may search by author from any page on the site by typing the author’s name into the Search box above and click the submit button.

Search by file format

At this time we do not provide search capability by file format. However, we do offer Entire Collections of images in vector and photo shop brushes format. The words vector and photo shop brushes are part of the title and can be used as a keyword in the Search box above.

What if my search fields Zero/too few results?

If your search has yielded zero or too few results, try broadening your search by using fewer keywords, or removing some of the filters.

What if my search yields too many results?

There is a search box on the left side of the search results page where you can select additional filters to narrow down your search. The filters include category, author and price.

In what order are search results displayed?

By default search results are display in relevance order. You may also display results in alphabetical order of collection titles, or category.

What does royalty-free mean?

Royalty-free means the right to use copyrighted material or intellectual property without the need to pay royalties for each use.
